Caffeine is surging through my veins

It's going straight to my head

My brain is shaking

All the loose thoughts fall

They roll across my tongue

And tumble out my mouth

Rattling my teeth as they go

The rattling is tickling my ears

I cover them with my hands

And it sounds like I am underwater

I pretend I am a mermaid

I'm wearing a top made of seashells

And there are starfish

Caught in my green hair

A shawl made of seaweed

Graces my shoulders

And I dance with the fish

I flow with the water

I am part of it.
